Dr. Jaswant Singh Thind

Chairman cum Managing Director (Thind Eye Hospital, Jalandhar (PB) INDIA)

After my MS from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow, in the year 1986, I worked with charitable hospitals in Jalandhar but soon realized that if I wanted to give my best to my patients, I must have my own setup.

My wife, Harjinder Kaur, was a great motivating factor in my decision to start our own eye hospital, and that’s how Thind Eye Hospital came into being in the year 1991.

Today, Thind Eye Hospital has created a niche in the field of eye care, and the hospital is known globally for its satisfied patients. We are privileged to have a very large number of satisfied patients from the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Asia, and the Middle East.

Thind Eye Hospital is a multi-superspeciality eye hospital providing treatment, care, and housekeeping of international standards. We have a fully functional Eye Bank and are committed to providing community eye services by organizing various camps to take eye care to the doorsteps of our rural countrymen. In keeping with our national policy on children’s eye health, Thind Eye Hospital has a policy in place to reach the maximum number of schools to carry out eye health checkups for all students, so that early detection and treatment of eye problems can be undertaken. In keeping with our hospital policy, eye treatment is never denied to a needy person at Thind Eye Hospital.

Our modesty is our hallmark, our humility is our strength, our concern for patient satisfaction is our goal, and our vision to acquire the latest technology from around the world is our passion. Our motto, “We Lead Today For Tomorrow,” inspires me and my team to remain constantly on the move to realize our dream and vision.

I feel satisfied to announce that, through our collective efforts, Thind Eye Hospital has been a NABH-accredited superspeciality eye hospital since 1st February 2013. At Thind Eye Hospital, we work with a single resolution: milestones are only meant to be crossed, not rested upon. We will not rest on our laurels but will continue to touch new heights.
